Anyone can roll a wall. What you actually notice for the next ten years is the cut line — where the wall meets the ceiling, where the trim meets the paint. That is where the preparation goes, and it is the whole difference between a paint job and a decent one.

What we do

Two halves of the same job.

Most of what makes a finish last happens before any paint is opened. So we do the repair work as well as the painting — because handing a wall between two trades is where the standard usually drops.

How it goes

Four steps, and three of them happen before the colour does.

This is the part worth reading before you compare quotes. A lower number almost always means less of step three.

    We look at it

    Photographs to start, and in person for anything larger or more complicated. What a space needs is often not what a photograph shows.

  2. 02

    You get it in writing

    A written estimate that says what is included and what is not. Surprises on the invoice are a scoping failure, not a discovery.

  3. 03

    We prepare

    Cover, fill, sand, caulk, prime. This is most of the labour and all of the difference. It is also the part that gets skipped by whoever quoted lower.

  4. 04

    We cut the line

    Edges by hand, enough coats to actually cover, and the site cleaned at the end of the day rather than the end of the job.

How do I get a price?

Send photos of the space through the estimate form and describe what you want done. We come back with a written estimate. For larger or more complicated jobs we arrange to see it in person first — but you should not have to book a stranger into your home just to find out roughly what something costs.

Do you do renovation work as well as painting?

Yes. Drywall repairs, taping and plastering, backsplash tiling and deck or fence work are all part of what we do — usually alongside the painting, because the repair and the finish are the same job done properly.

What areas do you cover?

We work across Brampton and the surrounding Greater Toronto Area, including Brampton, Mississauga, Caledon, Vaughan, Etobicoke and the towns between them.

Do I need to move everything out?

No. Furniture gets moved to the middle of the room and covered, and floors are protected before anything is opened. For a popcorn ceiling removal the room does need to be as empty as possible, because that job makes a great deal of dust.

What preparation is included?

Filling, sanding, caulking where trim has opened up, and spot-priming bare or repaired areas. Preparation is the part of a paint job that decides how it looks in three years, so it is not an upgrade — it is the job.
