- Room emptied or fully sheeted — this is the messiest job in the trade and it is handled that way
- Texture softened and scraped rather than dry-sanded
- Ceiling skimmed and sanded flat afterwards, which is the half of the job that gets skipped
- Sealed and refinished so the old texture cannot ghost through
- WARNING(client): pre-1990 texture can contain asbestos and must be tested by a qualified party before ANY disturbance. Confirm how the business handles testing before this page describes it.
